US House Speaker hopes for vote on temporary budget Wednesday

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, the top Republican in Congress, has told fellow party members that he hopes to hold a vote on a temporary budget bill on Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported. To end the government shutdown, the bill must pass the Senate and the House before being signed into law by President Trump.
