Upbit clarifies that rumored token delisting is 'completely unfounded'

June 19, 2024, 3:23 AM
South Korea's crypto exchange Upbit, operated by Dunamu, has denied the authenticity of a list of tokens rumored to be delisted, which has been circulating across online communities. On its official channel on Kakao, South Korea's leading messaging app, Upbit dismissed the list as "completely unfounded." The clarification comes as altcoins listed on Upbit saw sharp price drops after the list began circulating in online forums. This event unfolds as the Virtual Asset User Protection Act is set to be enforced on July 19. Dunamu has stressed that a mass delisting like the one suggested in the rumor is highly improbable.
