U.S. Core PCE price index rises 0.1% in November, below expectations

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported that the core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index rose 0.1% in November from the previous month, falling short of analysts' expectations of a 0.2% increase. The core PCE index, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, is considered the Federal Reserve's most accurate measure of inflation.
