What should I do if I already have an OKX account?
If you have an existing account that was created without a referral code, you can resolve it using the methods below.

Check Point ✅ OKX allows one account per person (KYC). To create a new account, you must close the existing account and sign up again. ✅ If you re-register using the same email and mobile number after closing the existing account, it is only possible after 30 days. Note that OKX requires simultaneous verification of both email address and mobile number! ✅ Indiscriminately attempting to re-register may result in restrictions on sign-up. ✅ If there are assets in your existing account, you must transfer them in advance to another exchange account wallet. |
Do you have assets in your existing account?If your existing account holds assets, you will need a wallet to temporarily store them. To do this, let’s newly register on Binance! 👉 [Go create a Binance referral account]
1) After signing up for Binance via the referral link above, please complete KYC verification. If you already have a wallet at another exchange, you may skip creating a new Binance account.
2) Transfer all assets from your existing OKX exchange wallet to the newly created Binance exchange account wallet. Be sure to confirm that no assets remain!
⚠️ Notes when closing an existing OKX account and re-registering

Sign up again after closing your existing OKX account
1. After logging in to your account, click the More icon at the top left of the screen.
2. Click the profile on the screen.
3. Once on the Profile screen, go to the [Security] tab.
4. At the bottom of the [Security] tab, press [Close account].
5. To proceed with closing, select the [Continue to close account] button.
6. Select a reason for closing, then press [Continue to close].
7. Review the instructions for closing and press [I understand].
8. Check your account status such as assets and positions, then press [Continue] to proceed.
9. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your mobile phone.
10. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your account email, then press [Confirm] to complete the account closure.
11. After 30 days have passed following account closure, you can sign up again as a new member.
After that, you can proceed with creating a new account and identity verification (KYC).
