UK to allow retail investors access to crypto ETNs

The U.K. Financial Conduct Authority will permit retail investors to access crypto exchange-traded notes (cETNs) on FCA-approved exchanges, according to CoinDesk. The move aims to boost the country’s digital asset sector. While the retail ban on crypto derivatives remains, the FCA emphasized that risk disclosures and consumer protections will still apply.
