DOJ seizes $225M in largest-ever crypto scam bust

The U.S. Department of Justice and Secret Service have filed a civil forfeiture complaint in Washington, D.C., aiming to seize $225 million in cryptocurrency tied to global investment fraud schemes, the largest such seizure in U.S. Secret Service history. The funds were traced through blockchain analysis and tied to over 400 victims worldwide. The DOJ, FBI and Secret Service aim to return the funds to victims.
