Jim Pallotta's family office leads $200M blockchain investment fund

The family office of U.S. investor and entrepreneur Jim Pallotta is leading the fundraising for a $200 million blockchain investment fund by serving as its anchor investor, Bloomberg reported. Citing a person familiar with the matter, the report stated that Pallotta's family office, Raptor Group, is the main backer for the second fund being raised by a venture firm of the same name that focuses on new technologies, including blockchain. The firm, Raptor Digital, plans to raise the $200 million from family offices and institutional investors. The new fund is scheduled to launch within a few weeks, after Raptor Digital returned capital from its first fund to existing investors.
