Vanguard to allow crypto ETF trading on its platform
December 01, 2025, 9:32 PM
Global asset manager Vanguard plans to permit trading of cryptocurrency ETFs and select crypto mutual funds on its platform starting Dec. 3, Bloomberg reported. The decision comes in response to demand from individual and institutional investors, giving over 50 million brokerage clients access to regulated crypto investment products.
Vanguard will not hold cryptocurrencies directly and will exclude funds linked to memecoins. The firm had previously barred its brokerage account customers from trading spot crypto ETFs, defining cryptocurrencies as a highly volatile asset class.
