South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges have hit an all-time high in deposits of the Korean won, the country's currency, due to the ongoing boom in the crypto market, according to local news outlet MTN News. Data from the office of a Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) lawmaker shows that in November, won deposits at the nation's top five crypto exchanges reached 8.83 trillion won ($6.03 billion), nearly doubling from 4.69 trillion won ($3.2 billion) in October. Upbit, the largest of the five leading exchanges, experienced the most significant growth, with won deposits increasing 98% over the past year.
