Tether co-founder predicts all fiat currencies will become stablecoins by 2030

Tether co-founder Reeve Collins predicted that by 2030, all global fiat currencies, including the U.S. dollar and the euro, will be converted into blockchain-based stablecoins, he said in an interview with Cointelegraph. He attributed this shift to the high efficiency and transparency of tokenized assets. Collins also noted that a recent favorable change in the U.S. government's regulatory stance has accelerated the entry of traditional financial institutions into the stablecoin market. He emphasized that this will lead to an era of hybrid finance where the distinction between centralized finance (CeFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) disappears.
